As part of the FrankfurtRhineMain metropolitan region, the Hochtaunus district has a close-knit public transport network within the district and with the surrounding area.
Daily commuter traffic is responsible for a considerable part of the traffic volume and therefore offers great potential for environmental relief. With the help of corporate mobility management, employees' business and work trips as well as visitor and customer traffic can be organised more efficiently.
As part of the "South Hesse Efficiently Mobile" programme, employers are offered workshops on company mobility management with corresponding certification by the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. In the course of the programme, home location and weak point analyses as well as surveys on the mobility behaviour of employees are run and based on that, solutions are developed. With increased efficiency in the area of mobility, significant savings can often be made, so that both employers and employees benefit.
In order to set a good example, the district administration itself is currently participating in the advisory programme.
